Wash Industry Meeting

Eastern IFCA is holding a workshop to discuss management of the Wash Cockle Fisheries, including in relation to the 2026 fishery. Any person named on a Wash Cockle Permit is invited to attend.

 

The meeting will cover the following topics:

– Survey results from the 2026 cockle survey

– Management of small / juvenile cockles

– Management of the ‘new’ fishery off Hunstanton

– Establishing a Wash Forum and industry representation

– Wash Aquaculture management

 

Those who only have an interest in Wash Aquaculture Management (i.e. those who were ‘lay holders’ under the Wash Fishery Order 1992) are welcome to attend for that session only.

 

Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided for those attending the whole meeting.
