Cromer Social Value Survey
A survey is being conducted, to explore perceptions of the balance between marine conservation and commercial fishing amongst IFCA stakeholders and authority members.
The project is being conducted by Izzie who is a MSc student at Newcastle University.
The project focuses on investigating the social value of the Cromer crab fishery, as well as determining the extent to which management is achieving balance between protecting the Cromer Shoal Chalk Beds with sustaining the fishery. To best answer questions pertaining to management of the fishery and conservation of the chalk beds, it is important to gather data from numerous stakeholders, including Cromer fishers, conservationists, divers, local councillors, IFCA members and Cromer residents, to provide a comprehensive and complete understanding of each group’s perspectives.
If you are interested, your participation would greatly appreciated.
The survey will close on 19/08/2024
