In addition, Government is consulting on proposed amendments to the Joint Fisheries Statement (JFS). The amendments to the JFS relate to:
- changes in the published timelines for delivering FMPs;
- some technical changes to FMPs (such as adding to the species lists referred to in some FMPs and extending the geographical scope of some FMPs);
- The addition of a new FMP (Periwinkle in Northern Ireland); and
- Changes to the bodies responsible for FMP delivery (affecting some Welsh FMPs).
The following link provides more information on the proposed changes: Proposed amendments to Annex A of the JFS consultation doument.pdf
The deadline for responding to this consultation is 2359hrs on 21 November 2024.
