June Authority Meeting Cancelled

It has been decided to cancel the next meeting of the full Authority as a consequence of the Covid-19 restrictions. The meeting was scheduled for Wednesday 10^th June 2020 and the next meeting is due to take place on Wednesday 9^th September 2020.

This decision has been informed by a review of priorities and critical work-streams set out in the Business Plan, which concluded that most decisions could be delayed until the September meeting. In the event that urgent decisions are required prior to September, there is a provision in the Constitution and Standing Orders that will enable this to happen and as such it is not envisaged that there will be any significant impact as a consequence of the cancellation.

The ability to cancel the meeting is provided by the Local Authorities and Police and Crime Panels (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authorities and Police and Crime Panels Meetings) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020 Statutory Instrument 2020 no.392, which came into force on 4th April 2020.
