MMO Workshops: Your Coast – Explore, Enjoy, Protect

The MMO are hosting a number of workshops where they will present management proposals for recreational activities occurring within two marine protected areas in the district.

Cromer Shoal Chalk Beds MCZ – workshops will focus on anchoring and how this is impacting the protected chalk beds, as well as the removal of abandoned, lost and discarded fishing gear during diving activities. This event will not consider activities taking place on the shore or fishing.

The Wash and North Norfolk Coast Special Area of Conservation (SAC) – workshops will focus on anchoring, wildlife watching boat tours, and other marine recreational activities and how these activities may impact the marine environment. This event will not consider activities taking place on the shore or fishing.

A separate workshop will be held to discuss seals in the Wash and North Norfolk SAC.
