Ossian Transmission Infrastructure Consultation

Eastern IFCA would like to make stakeholders aware of a current consultation for a development that may affect stakeholders.

Consultation is now open for the Ossian Transmission Infrastructure to feedback from the community on the early-stage proposals. The consultation runs from Monday 17 March to Sunday 13 April 2025.

Ossian is a proposed floating offshore wind farm located off the east coast of Scotland (the Ossian Array), capable of delivering up to 3.6GW of renewable energy. Once built, it will connect to new national grid infrastructure near Spalding and Alford in Lincolnshire. To make these connections they need to install subsea electrical transmission cables from the wind farm to a location on the Lincolnshire coast. From this point on cables will be installed underground, connecting into national grids electrical system via new project converter stations.
