Stour and Orwell clam fisheries closure

As of 4th July, 2011 a temporary closure of clam fisheries within the Rivers Stour and Orwell is in operation. This has been brought jointly under Eastern IFCA and Kent and Essex IFCA Byelaws.

The closure prohibits the removal, taking or disturbing of clams (Tapes spp., including the carpet shell and Manila clam) until further notice. View or download the closure notice (PDF, 160KB)
