The Fisheries and Seafood Scheme (FaSS) is now open for applications!
Funded through Defra’s Fishing and Coastal Growth Fund, investing £304 million into fishing and seafood businesses and coastal communities across England.
The Fisheries and Seafood Scheme (FaSS) is administered by MMO and is open to a wide range of organisations, including small-scale operators and first-time applicants.
Project funding is available for anyone involved in fishing, aquaculture, seafood processing, marine conservation or related environmental work.
Who can apply:
Anyone involved in fishing, aquaculture, seafood processing, marine conservation or related environmental work.
Activities supported include:
– Improving the resilience and sustainability of shore based facilities
– Supporting co-operative projects, capability building and advisory services
– Delivering fishing related improvements, including increasing energy efficiency on vessels
– Improving health and safety, including onboard safety and reducing accidents
– Carrying out conservation and restoration projects that help achieve good environmental status
– Supporting diversification and developing new income streams
– Developing the workforce across the industry
– Building community partnerships and supporting local regeneration
– Developing shared infrastructure that benefits multiple users
– Strengthening trade and improving market access
