Wash Cockle Fishery 2025 Update

Following the closure of the 2025 Wash cockle fishery consultation we are carefully considering all the consultation responses as well as the feedback from the industry meeting on 9 June and the Authority meeting on 11 June, and expect to make a decision on the fishery’s opening dates and management measures next week.

We encourage those with eligibility who intend to participate in the cockle fishery to apply and pay for their permit as soon as possible to prevent undue delays. Application forms are available at this link.
