Wash Training Course Dates announced

In order to be named on a Wash cockle and mussel Permit as a permit holder or skipper, you must attend a Wash Training Course.  The purpose of these training courses is to provide fishermen with an understanding of how stock assessments are carried out, how and why Habitat Regulation Assessments are carried out and an overview of the rules and the Code of Best practice. The course will last between 2 and 2.5 hours and will include a refreshment break.

Training courses are being held in three locations over three different days as follows:

 

8 April 2025 – Boston Quayside Hotel (6 London Rd, Haven Village, Boston, PE21 8SH)

1000hrs – 1230hrs

1330hrs – 1600hrs

 

9 April – King’s Lynn Eastern IFCA Offices (Unit 6 North Lynn Business Village, Bergen Way, King’s Lynn, PE30 2JG)

(3 sessions due to smaller room size)

0930hrs -1200hrs

1230hrs – 1500hrs

1530hrs – 1800hrs

 

28 April 2025 – Curlew Centre Sutton Bridge (51 Bridge Rd, Gedney Drove End, PE12 9PN)

1000hrs – 1230hrs

1330hrs – 1600hrs

Room sizes may limit the number of attendees which can attend each session (particularly in King’s Lynn). Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
