Whelk Managment Measures – Formal Consultation
At the 5th Regulatory and Compliance Sub-Committee on the 17th November 2015 the following byelaws were made for the protection of whelk fisheries:
- Eastern IFCA Permitting Byelaw
- Eastern IFCA Whelk Byelaw
Eastern IFCA will be applying to the Minister for Defra for confirmation.
Formal consultation now open
Eastern IFCA is holding a formal consultation regarding these proposed byelaws. Comments, support and objections should be made in writing in a letter or by completing the questionnaire (which can be found here) to either of the following addresses.

The deadline for responses to be received by Eastern IFCA is the 4th January 2016.
