In summary, the analysis found no significant difference in the frequency and severity of chalk impacts when compared between fished and un-fished sites but did find a significant increase in the frequency of chalk impacts in 2025 across both fished and un-fished sites when compared with 2024. Ongoing data collection will continue to build and strengthen the dataset and provide an indication as to whether this is a consistent pattern over time.
