BYELAW 10:- WHITEFOOTED EDIBLE CRAB (Cancer pagurus)

Guidance

Between the 1st of November and the 30th of June (inclusive) ‘white-footed’ edible (brown) crab must not be removed from the fishery. ‘White-footed’ crabs are those which have not hardened fully after a moult – the tips of their pincers are grey in comparison to the black tips of a fully hardened crab.

Between the 1st day of November and the 30th day of June following (both days inclusive) no person shall remove from a fishery any edible crab (Cancer pagurus) of the kind known as ‘whitefooted’ crab.
