Apply for Exemption

If you wish to conduct an activity which is prohibited by an Eastern IFCA byelaw (for example a scientific survey or stocking a shellfish aquaculture area) you will need to apply for an exemption.

To apply please complete an application which can be found at the link below. Eastern IFCA will consider your request taking into account potential damage to the environment and fisheries sustainability. It may take up to 28 working days to process your application. In addition, if the proposed activity is planned to take place in a Marine protected Area, advice will be required from Natural England which may increase the time taken to process your application to 56 working days.
