Fish, Mollusc and Crustacea Minimum Size Emergency Byelaw 2019: Byelaw Extension

Eastern IFCA, together with Northumberland, North Eastern and Kent and Essex IFCAs implemented the Fish, Mollusc and Crustacea Minimum Size Emergency Byelaw 2019 on the 13th August 2019.

 

The Secretary of State has approved the extension of the emergency byelaw until the 13th February 2021.

 

The Fish, Mollusc and Crustacea Minimum Size Emergency Byelaw 2019 was implemented to protect fish and shellfish stocks through the prevention and/or reduction of the removal of pre-spawning individuals.

 

Eastern IFCA, together with Northumberland, North Eastern and Kent and Essex IFCAs intend to replace this emergency byelaw with a permanent byelaw to the same effect.
