Social Survey of Commercial Fishing – Online Workshop

A team of researchers from the University of Gloucestershire, working with Fishing into the Future, who have been commissioned by Defra, are working to develop an annual survey to collect data on the social issues affecting the fishing industry in Wales, England and Northern Ireland. The researchers would like to hear the views of industry on fishermen’s priorities for data around health and wellbeing, cultural identity, community, traditions and values. Once the survey is rolled out this data will be used to inform fisheries management.

There will be an online workshop on Monday 22nd May between 2.30pm and 5pm. If you are interested in attending, please contact Nick Lewis (nlewis@glos.ac.uk).
