Upcoming Seafish Events on the Development of Fisheries Management Plans for Crab, Lobster and Whelk

Seafish (the public body supporting the UK seafood industry) are holding online and in-person events on the development of the Fisheries Management Plans (FMPs) for whelk and brown crab and lobster. Seafish have been commissioned by Defra to develop the FMPs for these fisheries and are seeking input from the fishing industry as part of this process.

The FMPs will be action plans that will detail how the whelk, brown crab and lobster fisheries will be managed in English waters. They will apply to all commercially harvested whelk, brown crab and lobster caught in English waters and to vessels of all sizes and from all nations (both UK and non-UK vessels) which operate in English waters.
