Wash Cockle Fishery 2023: closure

The Wash cockle fishery 2023 will be closed as of 0145hrs on Friday 22 September 2023.

The cockle fishery will close at this time because we have projected that the Total Allowable Catch (TAC) will have been exhausted.

In accordance with the interim arrangements for managing the cockle fishery, exemptions from the temporary closure in place under Byelaw 8 (Temporary Closure of Shellfish Fisheries) to fish within the Wash Cockle Fishey are revoked as of the closing date and time above.
