Wash Fishery Order 1992 (WFO) Transition: Phase 1

Phase 1 is now closed.

 

If you meet the requirements for eligibility in Phase 1, which deals only with current licence holders, you don’t need to do anything now as we will contact you to advise what is required to make your application.

 

Evidence requirements under Phase 1 are primarily related to vessel ownership. If you do not meet the vessel ownership requirements for eligibility in Phase 1 but are currently fishing under a WFO licence, you are advised to contact the Project Team at Eastern IFCA.

 

All decisions on eligibility for a permit under the Wash Cockle and Mussel Byelaw will be taken by the newly established Wash Fisheries sub-committee and any appeals relating to decisions taken by this sub-committee will be heard by a separate Wash Appeals sub-committee.
